They included hugely talented world number 69 Denis Shapovalov in their squad with other members of the team being world number 78 Vasek Pospisil, world number 192 Brayden Schnur and world number 42 un double Daniel Nestor. The winner of this tie will qualify for the top-16 competition.
Shapovalov is pipped to be the most exciting future in the game and he is top form after beating French star Jo-Wilfred Tsonga in the US Open fourth round. He ended his campaign in the pre-quarterfinals after losing to Pablo Carreño Busta of Spain.
Canada will miss the services of Milos Raonic as the world number 11 is injured. He has already announced the he will skip US Open 2017 and the rest of the season due to a wrist injury.
While Cananda has a talented pool, India will once again bank on the young guns in Yuki Bhambri, Ramkumar Ramanathan, Saketh Myneni and seasoned Rohan Bopanna.
If India beat Canada, it will be in a long time that India qualify for the top-16 competition. They have reached the Play-off tie for the last three years but lost at the final hurdle.
